Owner-occupied split-level, family of four. Full kitchen gut, two bathrooms, refinished floors, repaint throughout. Eight-week schedule, school-hours-only work.
The clients had been in the house for 14 years. They were not selling — they were staying, and tired of the dated kitchen. They wanted one decisive project: gut the kitchen, refresh the two baths, refinish the original hardwood, repaint the whole interior, and not have to think about the house for the next ten years.
Architectural drawings in week 1. Permits pulled in week 2. Demolition in week 3 — the kitchen came down to studs in two days. Custom cabinetry from a small shop in Saint-Hubert, soft-close throughout, quartz counters, and a 36" induction range. The two baths were gutted in sequence; the family used the powder room for six days while the ensuite was rebuilt. Original oak floors resanded and finished with a hardwax oil.

Delivered on schedule and on budget. The clients have stopped using the back staircase — they like the kitchen too much to leave the room.
